Goal Protocol

Skin Renewal

A cosmetic and repair-oriented pathway for collagen signaling, barrier quality and visible skin renewal.

Skin is the largest organ and the most public expression of internal health. Poor sleep, glucose swings, chronic inflammation and sun damage all print themselves on the face before they show up on a lab.

This protocol combines cosmetic peptides that act at the dermal level (GHK-Cu, Argireline) with anti-aging molecules that support skin from the inside (Epithalon) and pigment-modulating options where appropriate (Melanotan II).

The visible result is real but modest — think brighter, firmer, more resilient skin over months, not a filter-grade transformation over weeks. Sun protection, sleep and glucose control remain the single largest drivers of long-term skin quality.

How this protocol works

GHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide that supports collagen and elastin synthesis, wound repair and antioxidant defence. Argireline reduces expression-line contraction as a topical alternative to neurotoxins. Epithalon influences pineal function and may support systemic markers relevant to skin aging. Melanotan II modulates melanocortin signaling for pigmentation.

Protocol phases
Phase 1
Foundation (weeks 0–4)

Lock in sunscreen, sleep and glucose control. Baseline photos in consistent lighting. Simplify the existing skincare routine before adding anything.

Phase 2
Peptide layer (weeks 4–16)

Introduce topical GHK-Cu and Argireline daily; add systemic Epithalon in cycles. Retake photos every four weeks to see the actual trajectory.

Phase 3
Maintenance (weeks 16+)

Continue the base topicals; cycle systemic peptides. Reassess quarterly with new photos and skin-history review.

Lifestyle foundations
Daily sun protection

Broad-spectrum SPF is the highest-return anti-aging intervention available.

Sleep and glucose

Under-sleep and post-meal glucose spikes accelerate glycation and dull skin — both are cosmetic issues as much as metabolic ones.

Whole-food diet

Protein, omega-3s, colourful vegetables and adequate water do more visible work than most serums.

Gentle routine

Over-exfoliation and aggressive actives damage the barrier — less is usually more.

What to expect

Barrier and texture changes often appear within four to eight weeks. Collagen-driven firmness takes three to six months of consistent use. Photographs are the honest reviewer — memory is not.

Biomarkers to track
Blood
  • CBC
  • CMP
  • Ferritin
  • Zinc
  • 25-OH vitamin D
  • Fasting glucose and HbA1c
  • hs-CRP
Urine
  • Urinalysis
  • Urinary hydroxyproline (collagen turnover, when available)
Cautions and contraindications
  • Melanotan II carries real risks — cardiovascular effects, atypical moles, nausea — and is never appropriate without a dermatology-informed conversation.
  • Any changing mole warrants dermatology review before starting pigment-modulating peptides.
  • Topical peptides do not replace sun protection or a skin-cancer screening cadence.
